Grilled turkey and cheese spider sandwiches are fun to prep and even more fun to eat – if you dare!
Ingredients
4 slices whole wheat bread
4 slices honey-maple turkey
2 slices of your favorite cheese (I used Colby jack)
1 Tbsp olive oil
16 Fritos
4 olive slices
1 (18.7-oz) can tomato-basil soup
2 Tbsp sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
Instructions
To make the spider sandwiches:
Make 2 sandwiches using 2 slices of turkey and 1 slice of cheese on each sandwich.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over low-medium heat. Place both sandwiches in skillet and sear each side until bread is browned and crisp and cheese is melted.
Using a biscuit cutter or a glass cup, cut your sandwich into a circle and remove the outside pieces.
Place 4 Fritos into the sides of each sandwich to create legs. Top with olive “eye balls.”
To make the soup:
Pour tomato-basil soup into a saucepan and heat over medium heat according to package directions.
Place sour cream in the corner of a plastic sandwich bag. Cut a very small piece of the corner out of the bag. Gently squeeze the sour cream out of the bag onto the soup making a in a spider web design.
