Use sunflower seed butter, a nut-friendly and school-approved alternative to peanut butter to make these funny and fun spider sandwiches
Ingredients
4 Tbsp sunflower seed butter (I used Sunbutter)
4 slices whole wheat bread
2 tbsp. strawberry jelly
16 pretzel sticks
4 chocolate chips
Instructions
Spread the sunflower seed butter equally onto two slice of bread and the strawberry jelly equally on the other slices of bread. Press together to make two sandwiches.
Using a biscuit cutter or a glass cup, cut the sandwiches into a circle and remove the outside pieces.
Place 4 pretzels on one side of the circle and 4 on the other (to look like spider legs). Repeat with the second sandwich.
Dip the bottom sides of chocolate chips into the sunflower seed butter (all-natural, edible glue!) and place on the tops of your sandwiches to resemble eyes.
